3 Ways To Start Your Own Profitable Coaching Program

by Robert Greenshields

Whatever your area of expertise, it’s probably much easier than you think to turn it into a highly profitable coaching program.

A simple look at the numbers shows why it’s worth considering…

  • It takes 50 customers buying a $20 eBook to earn $1,000.
  • It takes only 1 customer buying a $1,000 coaching program.

Many people are put off this approach because they think nobody will pay for it.

But the truth is that there are almost always customers who are willing to pay higher fees to get personal access and to get faster results.

And, if you set up the program in the right way, it doesn’t even require very much of your time.

So, here are three ways you can get a coaching program up and running quickly:

Method #1: Answer questions submitted by your clients
This type of coaching program consists of clients sending you daily questions related to their specific situation and you answering them back. There is no content to prepare and no materials to organize. You simply offer your expertise in your chosen field in a ‘question and answer’ setting.

Method #2: Teach existing materialTime is Money!
If you have your own e-book or e-classes, you can simply convert the existing content into weekly ‘lessons’ with a homework assignment for each of them. You then provide feedback on each assignment and offer suggestions for improvement.

For the customer, there is a big difference between just reading a chapter on a topic and getting feedback specific to their situation from an expert. This also gives them an incentive to take action and get results.

Even if you don’t have your own material, you can purchase resale rights licenses to other people’s content and develop a coaching program around it.

Method #3: Create new material
This requires a little more work but can be very rewarding. The key to this approach is that the content is available only through the coaching program.

And here’s a great shortcut! You don’t need to have all your material prepared in advance. You just need the first lesson in the series completed. (Though you certainly want to have the lessons planned out so you know what to create each week.)

Whichever of these approaches is most attractive to you, here’s the real secret of making money from a coaching program:

Don’t be afraid to charge what you’re worth.

You are selling your time so make sure you put a premium price on it!
