As a coach and consultant marketing a range of my own information
products, I almost always offer audio versions of my own products.
When people started telling me they loved the sound of my voice on
these recordings, I
wasn't sure whether to be flattered or concerned that they were
paying more attention to the sound of my voice than to what I was
saying!
Anyway, I soon realized that many people had a need for someone who could
provide high quality voiceovers at a reasonable cost. Someone who took
an interest in the content rather than just read the text and someone
who sounded like a real person rather than a machine.
So every month, I make a limited number of slots available for producing audio products for other people.
Here's more detail on the options available ...
"Which of These Options Suits Your Needs Best?"
1. Straight Recording of Your Content.
You send me your ebook as a word
file and I'll personally record it making sure that it's edited
as necessary to give you the highest quality recording. I'll send it to you
in mp3 format both as high resolution and low resolution. I can also send it in
.wav format if you specify that requirement. I'll record your text as
it is making minor changes if necessary to ensure a smooth recording.

2. Editing of Your Text First Then Recording.
Sometimes, text needs a bit
of additional work to improve the quality of the recording. Words that
flow well on paper don't always translate directly to audio so, if
necessary, I can edit the script to improve the flow and quality of the
audio. I will let you know about proposed changes before sending the
recording.

3. Interview of You to Create a Completely New Product.
The fastest way to produce your own product -
whether it's a short special report or a longer e-book - is to have
someone interview you. Often the difficulty is finding someone with
the necessary experience to do that. As a former journaist, I'll put my
experience to good use by asking the right questions to draw out the
information you need. My basic pricing covers carrying out the
interview and supplying the audio. I can arrange a transcript or supply
you with an edited version of the text at additional cost.

Whichever option you choose, I'll first send you a 'draft' version of
the recording so that you can request any changes if necessary before the final 'polish'. It will
be your product and you will own the rights so I want you to be 100%
happy with it.
Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the
rights to produce an audio recording of any material that you supplyto me.

"How Much Does It Cost?"
The cost for recording is
based on the number of pages of script - assuming a standard typeface
such as 11pt Verdana with single spacing. A full page is
typically about 2.5 minutes of audio.
Straight Recording - just $10 per page
Editing of Text First Then Recording - just $15 per page
The cost of the interview is
based on the length of the recording but includes my time for
preparation, research and editing. We will normally agree the timing in
advance and it is my responsibility as the interviewer to control the
time. If you request additional time, we will agree the additional
cost.
Interview - just $397 per hour
The minimum fee for all audio work is $100. Turnaround is normally within one week.
